Ms. Wise, our lead arts integration teacher, continues to do amazing things. RGMS has been awarded a theatre grant through the Maryland State Arts Council that will bring a theatre experience program to our school. The InterAct Story Theatre will work with our students integrating the arts into their classroom curriculum this winter. Our 1st-5th graders will be involved in an anti-bullying science-fiction tale. Our upper elementary school students will work with InterAct Story Theatre to integrate theatre and opera into their English classrooms with Ms. Woodley. There surely will be a performance to remember at the conclusion of the program. Similar to the Max Bent beat boxing program we participated in last year, the grant funds over 50% of the theatre experience and the community is asked to match the rest of the funding.
