President's Welcome
The PTSA is here to help support engagement at RGMS, to empower families and communities to advocate for our students, and to directly enhance student experience. Our regular meetings and communication channels, including our email listserv and website, provide a forum for parents and students to engage with other RGMS parents, teachers and administrators to discuss and voice opinions and have a say on school issues that affect our students daily experience. Furthermore, our members support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the school, in the community, and before government bodies that make decisions affecting our children. Finally, the PTSA supports a range of important educational enhancements for our children including field trips and assemblies, classroom supplies, and various student clubs, with volunteer effort and focused funding.

Your support is critical in achieving our mission. Our PTSA is made up with parents and students like you. We stand together to ensure that our children are getting the most of their experience at RGMS. By joining the PTSA, we are demonstrating to our children the importance we place on education. We understand with busy schedules and other commitments, it may be difficult to attend PTSA membership meetings or be at school during the weekdays, but we want everyone to know that there are many ways to help the PTSA, whether you have 30 minutes at night or a couple of hours on a weekend. Your ideas, your time, and your voice are desired and truly needed. From participating in PTSA initiatives, we believe you will feel more connected with your child’s education and with the school community, and that you and your child will benefit. We believe this is especially important at RGMS, where we live throughout the county, and may have fewer opportunities for neighborhood interaction.

We look forward to engaging with you this year!

Why Join the PTSA?
The Robert Goddard Montessori School Parent-Teacher-Student Association (RGMS-PTSA) will help you stay connected with what’s happening in our school. The PTSA provides parents and teachers with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students. As a PTSA member you have the opportunity to meet other parents, teachers, and community members to discuss and share ideas, concerns, and experiences about our school. It offers the chance to speak up and effect positive change. Additionally, by donating your time and talent your children will know how important their education is to you.
The strength of our PTSA comes from the hard work and dedication of volunteers like you! Please consider joining one of our committees. Just a little of your time can go a long way in helping to support our school!
